David Greenwold, PE is a Boston based pedestrian bridge designer. David’s focus on pedestrian bridges began with his work at MIT (MS ’99). His 15 years of bridge design experience includes the conceptual and detailed design of several iconic, award winning pedestrian bridges. His work is playful, mysterious, and muscular and typically exploits simple combinations to achieve surprising and compelling results.
Arturo Ruiz de Villa Valdés has a strong history of designing cutting edge structures including pedestrian bridges, glass roofs, and large scale artworks. He has executed sculptures with Anish Kapoor, Mariko Mori, and Jan Hendrix. David and Arturo met while working in the offices of master pedestrian bridge designer Jörg Schlaich.
